Pre-draft consultation

The first step in the Pre-Draft Public Consultation phase is the publication of the Issues Paper and an invitation to make submissions. 

The purpose of the pre consultation stage of the Development Plan making process, is to set out an overall strategy for the proper planning and sustainable development of the County and a broad structure for the Development Plan and the Core Strategy.

Submissions will be accepted from members of the public and prescribed stakeholders up until 4.00pm on Monday 16th November 2020.

The County Development Plan sets out an overall strategy for the proper planning and sustainable development of the County over a six year period. Clare County Council is commencing the process of preparing the new County Development Plan for the period 2022-2028.

The County Development Plan is a key policy document which provides for sustainable growth and development across the county. The plan fits within and must be consistent with national and regional policies, guidelines and objectives. The County Development plan review process has now commenced and this video is to stimulate debate on what are some of the priority issues of the county and to encourage YOU to have your say.
